Seasonal Pitch Terms & Conditions
At Trethiggey Holiday Park hope your stay with us will be an enjoyable one, so we ask for your compliance with the following seasonal pitch terms & conditions set out below as well as the holiday park rules for your own safety and the safety and comfort of other guests around you. All customers who rent a seasonal pitch must comply with ALL the terms & conditions set out below.
- Seasonal pitches are for holiday use only. Seasonal Periods as follows: Seasonal Touring Customers – Easter Weekend to 31st October. Private Seasonal Static Owners – 1st March to 2 January each year (dates may vary). The Management reserve the right to amend the seasonal period without notice.
- Seasonal fees are charged per year & are to be paid by your contract date in full.
- The permanent living in touring & static caravans is strictly prohibited and the use of the caravan can be used under fair use/holiday use only. Management reserve the right to terminate the pitch agreement for breach of this rule.
- You are permitted to stay on site for a maximum of 28 days in one period & are required to leave after 28 days for a minimum of 7 days before returning.
- When you agree to your seasonal pitch for the year, you are agreeing to the pitch location, the pitch as it is with its current surrounding’s i.e. hedges, trees, shrubs, etc. General maintenance or required maintenance will be carried out during the year by staff only. Please do not make any changes to the pitch without the Managers approval. Additional gravel, plants, shrubs or extension of the pitch size is prohibited.
- Customers are not permitted to receive any post/parcels to the holiday park unless you have prior agreement from the Manager.
- No subletting of touring/static caravans for profit. Touring/static caravans are for family use and bona fide friends only.
- Please respect your neighbours at all times of the day and night. Loud music and rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated by any customers.
- All touring caravans must be fully insured & a copy of insurance handed to reception. Trethiggey Holiday Park do not accept any liability for any loss or damage to your property.
- You are responsible for ensuring all security locks i.e. hitch locks, wheel locks etc are in good working order & a spare set of keys for hitch & wheel locks are left with the Manager in the event your caravan needs to be moved. In the event your caravan needs to be moved & the locks have seized, you will be liable to pay for the cost of a locksmith to remove the locks. Please ensure your locks are serviced & in good working order throughout the year.
- Private Static Caravan owners are responsible for ensuring a yearly boiler service is completed & certified.
- You are allowed 1 car to be parked on your pitch. Additional cars must be parked in a marked parking bay located around the holiday park. Please do not park on other people’s pitches or vacant pitches. Please do not park on the grass after heavy rain fall.
- Commercial Sign-Written vehicles are not allowed to be parked on the holiday park at anytime. They must be parked outside reception or opposite the bottom shower blocks.
- Please keep your speed limit to a maximum of 5 mph whilst on the holiday park including at the entrance to the holiday park, speeding will not be tolerated at anytime. If you are caught speeding on the holiday park you will be required to park at Reception & not permitted to drive onto the holiday park.
- No vehicle movement allowed in, out or around the holiday park between 11 pm & 7 am.
- The park and all its facilities are used entirely at your & your guest’s risk. We will not accept liability in respect of any person or property.
- Anyone having guests in the park must inform reception of their arrival. Guests are required to park outside reception. Please do not give the barrier code out to visitors.
- Trethiggey Holiday Park have CCTV covering the site 24/7 and have the right to always record park activity.
- Touring Caravans – Each year & by the end of the season, all awnings must be removed, taken down & packed away securely in your caravan. This is to allow essential maintenance to be done to the pitch & also avoid storm damage to awnings. Awnings can remain up during the season but must be taken down at the end of the season.
- In adverse weather conditions if your awning is affected by the weather there will be a surcharge for removing awning and contents and their storage.
- False wooden or raised flooring is not permitted to be erected in an awning.
- Touring Caravan owners are responsible for the removal of electric hook up leads from the main power supply when the caravan is unoccupied, this includes in between visits during the season. Only 1 electric hook up outlet to be plugged in at any one time. 2, 3 or 4 way plugs are not allowed.
- At the end of the season you must ensure your pitch & grass area are clear of all items & your touring caravan is unplugged for the electrical mains supply & the cable removed & packed away.
- Trethiggey Holiday Park are not responsible for caravans being unplugged whilst in use or loss of electricity supply at any time.
- Water points around the holiday park are communal & customers. Please don’t attach permitted hose fittings to the taps for the purpose of filling water barrels. Splitter taps are not allowed to be installed to any communal tap at anytime.
- Out door taps are not permitted to be installed by a 3rd party.
- Your caravan, awning and pitch must be kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times during the year. You are also responsible for ensuring the caravan tyres are inflated & in good condition.
- Hosepipes & Jet Wash machines are not to be used to clean your caravan/unit onsite.
- Caravan owners are also responsible for making sure that caravans and appliances meet current safety regulations.
- No washing machines, dryers or dishwashers are allowed to be installed in static caravans.
- No electrical items to be used in awnings e.g., fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, microwaves or other cooking facilities etc.
- Electric cars cannot be charged on site. The use of generators prohibited. No electric patio heaters to be used. No Hot Tubs permitted.
- Trethiggey Holiday Park are not liable should any storm, trees or act of god cause any damage to units.
- Please do not tidy/garden your pitch i.e., no cutting the grass, strimming or trimming hedge rows or trees or spray weed killer on your pitch. If your pitch requires gardening, please advise to reception.
- Please do not change your pitch in anyway. Any work needed on pitches must be done by insured staff only.
- Touring Pitches are permitted to have 1 outdoor plastic storage locker to a maximum size of 125H x 145.5W x 82Dcm per pitch (this is large enough to store 2 large wheelie bins for example). The locker must not obstruct roadways or the neighbouring pitch. The storage locker must be on the hardstand gravel area to allow for grass cutting & not on the grass area. Wooden/plastic sheds, bike sheds etc are not permitted. Only 1 locker is permitted.
- On Touring Pitches we allow 1 Caravan & 1 Awning only. We do not allow extra awnings & shelters to be erected including permeant shelters & awning bedrooms attached to an awning.
- No flowerpots, planters etc allowed on the pitch. Solar lights are allowed but electrical outdoor lights are not permitted.
- Fences around your pitch are not permitted. Any existing fences will be removed when they reach their end of life & are not to be replaced.
- Under no circumstances can any caravan be moved from its allocated pitch; this includes the moving of caravans within its pitch.
- No items of any kind are allowed to be stored underneath the caravan at any time as this is a fire hazard – keep clear at all times & remove any items.
- The seasonal pitch fee is not transferable. If you sell your caravan privately you are not permitted to include the seasonal pitch as part of the sale.
- There is no refund on seasonal pitch fees if you choose to leave before your end of contract date.
- Barbecues are allowed & must be self-contained, off the floor & don’t burn the grass. Please dispose of cold barbecue waste in the appropriate bins around the park.
- Well trained dogs and other pets are allowed on site. We reserve the right to refuse permission on any grounds and, to refuse permission for certain breeds (including but not limited to dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act). A maximum of 2 dogs per caravan will be considered for permission; any more dogs, owners must seek permission in advance from the Manager. Permission for any animal may be withdrawn at any time, if the pet is a nuisance, and if you are requested to do so the pet must be removed from the park immediately.
- Dogs must be kept on their leads at all times & in all areas of the holiday park including the lakes area and dog walk area. If your dog fouls, please clean up immediately, this includes the dog walk area. No dogs allowed in or around play park area.
- Trethiggey Holiday Park Management reserve the right to terminate a seasonal pitch without refund if necessary.
- Trethiggey Holiday Park can update & amend these terms without notice.
