Looking for camping in Newquay? Trethiggey Campsite Newquay is ideal for camping & touring, for motorhomes to van life adventures for families & couples.
The holiday park is on the edge of Newquay in the village of Quintrell Downs with all of Cornwall’s best attractions and surfing beaches such as Fistral Beach, Crantock, Towan and Great Weston just 7 to 10 minutes by road and close to Cornwall’s rugged moors with easy access to the A30 and 3 Cornish pubs and a shop in the village with bus stops outside the park.
The main park consists of 10 landscaped acres within established trees with another eight acres of fenced meadowland overlooking a pleasant green valley with 3 lakes and large dog walk.
Our Newquay Campsite has a Mixture of Grass and Hard Standing Pitches
Many of our camping pitches are sheltered by mature trees & shrubs with lots of space!
Our campsite has a 170 pitches, more than 100 with 16 AMP electric hook-ups which are great for running your essential appliances & charging equipment.
We have views over the countryside at our lower camping pitches and plenty of space as we made 2 pitches into 1 to give everyone extra space.
We welcome family camping trips, solo campers, and anyone who wants to escape the city and find the perfect pitch to relax or we can accommodate rallies, scout groups and activity groups but we don’t accept stags or hen group bookings.
When camping we advise you bring a torch with you as the park is dimly lit in the evenings!
Spaciously Sized Pitches for All, Vans, Motorhomes and More!
Whether you are camping or touring around Newquay Cornwall, then we have pitches to fit the largest of units from motorhomes to small VW buses, converted vans and caravans. We are a van life friendly site with warm showers, washing machines and waste points, wetsuit washes and more!
We are a surfer friendly campsite and welcome surfers throughout the year. Being only a short car ride from the most epic beaches in Newquay!
Showers & Toilet Facilities
Heated Shower Blocks
Trethiggey Holiday Park in Newquay Cornwall has two large utility blocks with free showers & toilets, disabled facilities, laundry & dishwashing areas. During the low season our bottom toilets are closed. If you require to be close to the toilet blocks please let us know in advance.
At Trethiggey Holiday Park we pride ourselves on the cleanliness and hygiene standards we work to with the toilets being cleaned twice daily and spot checks throughout the day and we think it’s a reflection on the park that many of our customers come back to us year after year.
The park is a wonderland for children and pets to explore!
We love to see your fury family members on holiday but they must be kept on their leash at all times while on the park as we have lots of wildlife on the park. We have a large dog walking area with the wild meadow grass and Cornish hedgerows. Along with 3 small lakes which are peaceful and to be enjoyed as you spot for our local wildlife from rabbit to deer, pheasant to hawks to our wild fish. We don’t offer fishing on the park as we believe the fish are happier not being caught. You can spot for tadpoles to frogs, newts and even the odd adder has been spotted.

Your local Trevilley Farm shop is only a 6 minute drive from the Holiday Park. In the shop. They make their own jams, marmalades, chutneys and pickles, as well as a wide variety of produce made on a daily basis; bread, Cornish pasties (in some peoples’ opinions, the best you will ever have!), pies, quiches, sausage rolls, cake and much more!
